Promised Lands Introduction

Devised by artists Flow Motion, Promised Lands is a multi disciplinary pan-European project on migration as it is expressed through artistic and cultural forms, and which has at its organising principle the idea of the promised land, the recurring, foundational metaphor of the migrant experience. It has a number of outputs including a user driven website, touring installation and performance, and a CD and DVD drawn from the material collected through the website and workshops leading up to exhibitions/performances. The project is developed by Flow Motion with SCAN with future partners from UK and South East Europe in negotiation. Flow Motion are currently Artists in Residence at
InIVA and during this time they are collecting initial material for the forthcoming Promised Lands website.
Performance Presentation at InIVA 23rd October, 7 – 8.30pm.
